Turn a Google Maps route into an itinerary sanity check.
If you already arranged a multi-stop route in Google Maps, you should not have to type every city again. RouteRiff can read the place names from a full Google Maps directions URL, put them into the checker and let you inspect the route as a travel plan rather than just a navigation line.
Paste a Google Maps route →Use a full Google Maps directions URL that contains the route stops in its path. Apple Maps links with a start and destination are also supported.
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Tokyo/Hakone/Kyoto/Osaka/
Shortened maps.app.goo.gl links are expanded through a restricted Google-only redirect resolver when possible. If Google changes the link format, copying the full directions URL remains the fallback.
What RouteRiff adds
- a route-sanity score;
- long-jump and transfer-load warnings;
- largest-detour detection;
- manual stop reorder and removal;
- a transparent simple optimizer;
- a correction prompt for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or another AI;
- a shareable/remixable trip link.
Navigation and trip planning are different problems
Google Maps is designed to get you from place to place. RouteRiff asks whether those places belong in that order for the trip you are planning. It still does not replace live navigation, train schedules or official travel information.
